This evening, I attended a sharing session organised by DesignSingapore Council about bringing businesses to the global market with my friends K and J.
After which, we went to check out the legit sake bar/restaurant at Fortune Centre. They only admit diners who drink. I’m not complaining 😉 and we could actually hear real Japanese spoken in the environment! We had a rather authentic Japanese experience there!
Once again grateful to have friends to grow into adulthood with. Like we’re all transitioning from a full-fledge academic environment into the real world and learning the mechanics of how it works. For a start, i’ll need to learn how to socialise, like how to ask good questions and engage in meaningful conversation.
Returned home to a letter from DBS re: tuition fee loan. I’m glad the letter finally came! I’ve been waiting for it, yearning for a sense of closure to school. Like no longer bonded or chained. And set free.
I remember the moment last year at the annual church conference where i surrendered the issue of education debt wholly to God as i claimed His promise in Matthew 6:33 to run fully in the way that He has set before me.
seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.
—Matthew 6:33 (NIV)
After which when i did my sums (seriously for the first time), i realised i had no debt (to institutions) at all. This is to the praise and glory of God’s wisdom in my parents who had invested in education insurance for me years ago. I’m however indebted to my parents and i must do whatever i can to love them and provide for them.
I must remember these providence and promises of God to remind myself that God is always good and He will take good care of me and my household.
